Lab Support Services Engineer - TS/SCI w/Polygraph

Our work depends on a Lab Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Sterling, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD. As a Lab Engineer supporting the Government, you will be a part of a team responsible for daily operations, maintenance, data center design, and the security of lab environments that mirror production. In this role, a typical day may include:Designing and implementing Windows domain and child domain architecturesAnalyzing customer functional requirements to develop system requirements specifications and implement designed solutionsGuiding customers in formulating requirements, advising alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studiesDesigning and defining system architecture for new or existing computer systemsProviding technical leadership regarding the integration of requirements, design, and technologyIntegrating new plans, designs, and systems into existing buildsDeveloping system architecture and system design documentationGuiding system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of systems engineering management plans and systems integration and test plansInteracting with the Government customers regarding Systems Engineering and technical considerations for associated problems, issues, or conflictsConfigure and deploy virtual machines within a VMware environment.Provide Tier 3 support for Active Directory.Demonstrate proficiency in key Active Directory management components.Ensure servers and network systems operate efficiently and without interruption.Configure the management ports on all physical servers to enable remote access.Maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and network systems within the lab.Install and configure new software and hardware in accordance with specified requirements.Patch and update hardware and software in the virtual infrastructure.Communicate with tenants to resolve concerns and fulfill requests.Deploy and support systems such as RHEL 8/9 and Oracle 8/9.Maintain and upgrade physical and virtual systems regularly.Ensure Infoblox remains up to date and fully operational.Engage with key stakeholders to achieve objectives.Ansible experience is preferred. WHAT YOULL NEED:Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraphMust meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA SecurityBachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification, training, or work/military experienceFamiliarity with monitoring solutions, and enterprise security compliance requirementsExperience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of VMWare infrastructure and the deployment of virtual machine instancesExperience with the following:Infrastructure engineeringEnterprise testing & lab environmentsActive directory & PKI infrastructureNetwork administrationData center physical server racking and configurationLinux administrationInfoblox IPAM administrationProcurement testing & approval of enterprise lab toolsGDIT IS YOUR PLACEAt GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do.
