Job SummaryProvide highly responsible and skilled operational support to the Division of Surgical Oncology. Perform administrative support for three Surgical Faculty within the Section of General Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology. This position also provides educational and administrative support for the Polly Cheung Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship, Center for Surgical Trials Clinical Fellowship, and the Surgical Oncology T32 federal training grant. Responsibilities*Required Qualifications*- Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience OR high school/GED and 6 - 8 years of professional administrative level work experience.
- Must have exceptional written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience delivering excellent customer service.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines is required.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a dedicated team.
- Ideal candidate will have experience working in a team-oriented atmosphere and can manage a fast-paced work environment with the ability to promote professional relationships within a team environment.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Must be proficient in use of PC and software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat and Acrobat Reader.
Desired Qualifications*- Experience with MiChart, Emburse Expense Reporting, project or program support experience, and Human Resource Management System.

Work LocationsThe General Surgery office operates in a hybrid work environment consisting of both in-person and remote work. This Monday-Friday position will be working 3 days per week onsite in the A. Alfred Taubman Health Care Center within Michigan Medicine?s Ann Arbor Medical Campus. Background ScreeningMichigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
