Work You'll Do
- Apply strategic thinking and hypothesis-based consulting to frame complex questions into analytical problems and provide meaningful insights
- Support Finance and firm leadership with ad-hoc specialized analyses
- Support large, complex engagements for FP&A and Finance leaders to transform the organization, with a focus on forward-looking operations and change management
- Transform data into useful information tailored to leadership needs through storyboarding and data visualization
- Structure modeling efforts that underpin strategic recommendations
- Support key stakeholder groups to build cross-functional relationships across the organization
- Track project progress through milestones and metrics
- Develop executive level presentations to communicate insights from analytic
- Build supporting materials that assist leaders and stakeholders in the decision-making process
- Support leaders in strategic activities and engage in stretch opportunities aligned with professional development goals and strengths
The Team
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization supports our business, market and enabling area leaders by providing world class financial support. FP&A is made up of advisors who are influential in decision-making and partner with finance leaders to drive meaningful strategic and financial outcomes.
Within FP&A, the Strategic Analytics (SA) team integrates big data analytics, strategic thinking, and deep firm knowledge to provide leadership with insights to drive informed decision-making and enable continued growth. The team partners with business and operational leaders to provide an impact by leveraging data and analytical tools, strategic thinking and hypothesis-based analysis. Specific responsibilities and qualifications for the Analyst role are outlined below.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related area
- Demonstrated knowledge in the following areas:
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Data analysis, management, and visualization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and products you build.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred:
- Experience with Tableau
- Experience with Python
- Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2 preferred)
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $63,000 to $116,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
