Packaging Lead Person - Ashburn, GA
Packaging Lead Person – Ashburn, GA
This is an non-exempt level position.
Initial schedule will be 4 on 2 off rotating with no Sundays. Eventually will move to 7 days a week rotating all 4 shifts and will include $1.50 more an hour shift differential. Must have open availability.
Position Summary:- Coachable, Motivated individual with Initiative to continuously improve
- Under limited supervision, lead a group colleagues to accomplish tasks in the Packaging Department.
Job Responsibilities:- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Leadership and Organizational Skills (1-2 years in a leadership role preferred)
- Conducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintains a safe work record.
- Maintain a good attendance record.
- Work rotating shifts of various lengths including weekends and holidays
- Maintains good communication with all plant personnel. (Other shifts, departments and managers)
- Maintain production rates
- Ability to understand and perform assigned job tasks easily and independently while flexible enough to work in team settings.
- Maintains good housekeeping and ensures that required sanitation duties and paperwork are completed as required.
- Conducts daily inspections, reporting any problems noted.
- Continuously monitors and adjusts equipment for optimal performance and quality
- Review quality control documents and make necessary adjustments
- Perform Food Safety/HACCP/Quality Control checks and document
- Complete assigned paperwork accurately
- Perform maintenance and sanitation on machines as required
- May perform other duties as assigned.
